Parent and Child GroupsCree Smith: Cree previously ran a parent and child group in Thornbury, Bristol and has worked at St. Christophers with children with learning difficulties. She completed the course “Education for a Happy Childhood” with Joy de Berker. As well as running and preparing the parent and child group sessions, she enjoys raising her young family and working on their farm.
Kindergarten - Janet Brackenbury: FdA. Steiner Waldorf Early Childhood Education; BD Hons;  PGCE (3-13yrs).  Janet worked in State Education for 8 years and was involved in the promotion of extending play based education into Key Stage 1. In 2004 she started The Gower Steiner Waldorf Initiative with a Parent and Child Plus group and ran the Gower Kindergarten in 2006/7.  Janet moved with her family to Carmarthenshire in 2007 to access Steiner Education for all their children. Janet comes from East London, she has lived in Wales for over 20 years and has a GCSE in Users Welsh, Defnyddio’r Gymreig.
Kindergarten Assistant - Niki Hurst: Niki has completed an NVQ level 4 in Steiner Early Years Education, and also has BSc Social Sciences; PGCE. Niki joined us as the Kindergarten Assistant in 2007. She is very experienced with children of all ages and has previously worked with learning support groups.
Class Teacher – Jessica Rose Moraity: CertSocSci (Open), BA (Hons) Religious Studies, PGCE (RE 11-18). Class 1/2
From the age of 7, Jess grew up in Pembrokeshire and was educated at Nant-y-Cwm school.  She is a mother of three boys (aged 12, 15 and 16) and developed a passion for creative, responsive, child-centred teaching in recent years though experiences gained working with young people within the local community.  Jess is a newly qualified teacher and has a sound personal foundation of experiential, academic and spiritual knowledge of the Steiner Waldorf curriculum and ethos.
Jess will also be teaching Handwork and  Religious Education.

Class Teacher – Wendy Pattinson: BSc Hons Biology, NESTT (Steiner Teacher Training Diploma), Forest Schools Leader.  Wendy moved from Lancaster to join the school in September 2009.  She has been a teaching assistant in mainstream schools, a canoeing instructor and allotment gardener.Wendy has a grown-up son and enjoys singing and listening to live music.  She also teaches gardening and coppice-crafts.

Class Teacher – Leila Abuhilal: BA(Hons)Acting, NESTT (Steiner Teacher Training Diploma). Leila is the current class 5/6 teacher, and has been with Nant-Y-Cwm since the beginning of 2011. Leila’s experience includes working with a wide range of communities delivering creative projects and arts health projects around Lancashire. Leila’s love of the arts, story and children led her to training as a Steiner teacher with North of England Steiner Teacher Training based in York.
As well as class teaching she also teaches drama subject lessons.

Class Teacher  -John Davis: Steiner Waldorf Teaching Diploma and  Bsc Environmental Science.John joined us officially in 2008 but has been involved as a volunteer at the School since his children started at Nant Y Cwm in 2006. Previously John worked as a tutor and project manager from Greenlinks Community Group and as a Countryside Education Warden. His enthusiam for teaching and children led him to take on Class Teaching alongside the Steiner Teacher Training in January 2009, he has now qualified with Steiner Waldorf Teaching Diploma.  John also takes Games and modelling classes.

Handwork - Jane Winters: BSc. (Geography), LWTTS, Jane was born in New Moat a few miles from Nant-y-Cwm. Jane sent her eldest son to the first Kindergarten when the school opened in 1979 and has been a mainstay of the School ever since.  A qualified Steiner Teacher, Jane has retired from class teaching and now teaches handwork.
French & singing - Lucy Infray: Lucy grew up in France and was educated at a Steiner School there. She moved to Wales in 2005 and began working at Nant-y-Cwm as a Kindergarten Assistant. In 2007 Lucy moved to the Main School to teach and began the part-time Waldorf Teacher Training Course. Lucy is currently our French Teacher and takes lessons with all the classes.
